The Legend of the Shield

Mormorine…… sent a letter. Milieu…… to stop its power, we need the Heaven Covering Shield. He says that the Stone and Sword Society has it. He must need it.
But that's all there is. The letter doesn't say where to get it. Do you think the Alchemist would know? Maybe he does.

Let's ask. Let's ask <HFFFA7272>Alchemist Deathnote in the Center of Town.<HFFFFFFFF>. However, he won't give us an answer just because we ask. It seems like his recent experimentation may have driven him to poverty. Give him <HFFFA7272>7,000 Gold<HFFFFFFFF> and then speak to him. I'm sorry, but I don't have money. I was hoping you could provide it all.

He's not driven by money, but he does need to fund his experiments. Give <HFFFA7272>7,000 Gold<HFFFFFFFF> to <HFFFA7272>Alchemist Deathnote in the Center of Town<HFFFFFFFF> and then speak to him.

Hmm... Well, I'm in dire need of money for my experiments, but I can't just accept this. Tell me, you want something from me, don't you? Ah... Right, I once heard about it from Sorcerer Mormorine. Although he's not a member of the society, I can ask him. I'll at least try.
