SCOPE

Scope

These Terms of Use apply to riseoflegends.net, game accounts, the launcher, patch system, game server, rankings, community functions, support, WCoin purchases and all other online services provided by Rise of Legends. By registering or using a service, you accept the current version of these terms.

03

FAN PROJECT

Independent Archlord fan project

Rise of Legends is an independent fan and development project related to Archlord. Unless expressly stated otherwise, it is not officially affiliated with, partnered with, or endorsed by any former or current rights holder, publisher or operator of Archlord. Trademarks, logos, names and other rights remain the property of their respective owners.

04

ACCOUNT

Registration and account use

A game account is required for certain functions. Information requested during registration must be accurate. You may not use your account to evade bans, deceive other players or for unlawful purposes. Login credentials must be kept confidential. Actions carried out through your account may be attributed to you unless unauthorised access can be demonstrated.

05

MINORS

Use by minors

If you are not legally able to enter into binding contracts on your own under the law applicable to you, you may use paid services only with the required consent of your legal representative. Statutory age and consent requirements remain unaffected.

06

LICENCE

Right to use the service

You receive a personal, revocable, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the provided services for private gameplay and community purposes within their intended scope. No ownership or other rights in server data, game systems, website components or virtual content are transferred to you.

07

SERVER RULES

Prohibited use

Prohibited activities include cheats, exploits, bots, unauthorised client modifications, attacks on the server or website, circumvention of security measures, abuse of payment functions, fraud, unlawful content and other violations of the published Server Rules.

08

AVAILABILITY

Maintenance and technical availability

Continuous, error-free or uninterrupted operation cannot be guaranteed. Maintenance, updates, security measures, technical faults, network problems or events outside our control may cause temporary restrictions. Planned maintenance will be announced where reasonably possible.

09

GAME DEVELOPMENT

Updates, balance and changes

Rise of Legends is actively developed. Game content, classes, items, quests, drop rates, prices, currencies, maps, functions, technical requirements and balance may be adjusted, added or removed. Such changes generally do not create a right to preserve a particular game state unless mandatory law provides otherwise.

10

WCOINS

Virtual currency and digital content

WCoins and other virtual values are intended solely for use within Rise of Legends. They are not legal tender, a bank balance or a claim to cash payment. WCoins may only be used or transferred through the functions provided for that purpose. Prices and the quantity to be credited are shown before a purchase is completed.

11

PAYMENTS

Payment processing

Paid WCoin purchases are processed through the integrated payment providers Stripe and PayPal. A purchase is successful only once the payment has been technically confirmed. If a payment fails, is charged back or canceled, a credit may not be issued or a provisional credit may be corrected.

12

WITHDRAWAL & REFUNDS

Statutory consumer rights

Mandatory consumer rights, including statutory warranty, refund or withdrawal rights, remain unaffected. Where special requirements apply for a withdrawal right to expire for digital content supplied immediately, that loss of the right is effective only if the legally required information and consent were properly obtained during the specific purchase process.

13

SANCTIONS

Account suspensions and termination

Violations of these terms or the Server Rules may result in warnings, restrictions, temporary suspensions or permanent account bans depending on severity. In the event of a security incident, an account may be temporarily restricted while the matter is investigated. Statutory rights remain unaffected.

14

PLAYER CONTENT

Character, guild and support content

You may not submit unlawful, offensive, dangerous or rights-infringing content through names, chat, support, bug reports or other community functions. Content may be moderated, hidden or removed where necessary to enforce the rules, protect security or meet legal requirements.

15

LIABILITY

Liability

We are liable for damage in accordance with mandatory law. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect loss, lost profits, data loss caused by circumstances outside our responsibility, or damage caused by insecure disclosure of your own credentials. Mandatory consumer rights and legally mandatory grounds of liability are not excluded or restricted by this clause.

16

DATA

Privacy

Information about the processing of personal data is provided in the Privacy Policy. Use of the service requires the technically necessary processing of account, game, security and connection data.

17

TERMINATION

Discontinuation of functions or the project

Individual functions or services may be discontinued for technical, legal, economic or security reasons. If the entire project is discontinued, remaining personal data will be handled in accordance with statutory retention obligations and the Privacy Policy.

18

CHANGES

Changes to these Terms of Use

These terms may be updated where necessary because of new features, legal requirements, security measures or material changes to the service. Material changes will be announced in an appropriate manner on the website or through official community channels.

19

LAW

Applicable law

The law applicable at the operator’s registered seat applies unless mandatory consumer-protection rules of the state in which a consumer has their habitual residence provide otherwise. Mandatory statutory jurisdictions and consumer rights remain unaffected.
