The sage has passed away. He left a will along with two of his magic devices. It said these two items, the gem that your teacher left to you and the other magic device he buried in the plains, must never end up in the hands of the Arachnoid Queen Posto. Whatever the reason, we must find it first. Bring back the sage's Great Staff from the tree east of Beacon Village.
